Beatrice I. Bailey

Beatrice was a graduate of the class of 1954 from Carver Smith High School.

Beatrice was united in Holy Matrimony to James Bailey on June 27, 1954 and enjoyed over 28 years of marital bliss. Shortly after, they moved to Indianapolis, IN where she made her permanent residence until the Lord called her to rest. To this union three children were born.

Beatrice joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in 1955 where she was a faithful member until her decline in health. She was employed for many years at Fort Benjamin Harrison as a clerk for the Government.

Beatrice lovingly known as "Bea", her favorite past-time was going to bingo with Ms. Wanda, bowling in the I.O.F league with her darling husband and playing her favorite R&B tunes around the house.

Beatrice departed this life March 14, 2020 at the age 84.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Bailey, her parents Willie and Idener Beasley, grandson Terrell Bailey and granddaughter TeQuila Bailey. She is survived by her two sons; Tony (Natasha) Bailey, Dion (Deloris) Muhammad and daughter Shawn Bailey. Her sister-in laws; Ernestine Porter, Lena B. Medley, Gladys Bailey, and Blondeva Ray. Two brother-in- laws; Clyde Bailey and Danny Ray. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives
