Beau Douglas Botkin

34, of Indianapolis, the life rock of his family passed away February 3, 2016. He was born August 5, 1981 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the Mark and Kathy Botkin. He was employed at Design Industries for the past 11 years. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, was active in Special Olympics, SPRED, and the Carmel Dad’s Club. However, his greatest enjoyment came from being a resident at The Village of Merici where his neighbors became his good friends. He enjoyed tape recording everything from shows on TV to music on the radio, to which he could show off his dance moves, and occasionally secretly taping people and his conversations with them. Beau also was a member of Lifetime Fitness and enjoyed running in the many marathons in Indianapolis and loved the Indianapolis Colts. He had his cell phone and had no problem calling family or friends at any hour of the day or night to let them know, “I’m warm, I’m loved and I’m safe”. Beau is survived by his parents: Mark and Kathy Botkin, brother: Casey Botkin, paternal grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Botkin and Shirley Botkin. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Carolyn and Garland Barr. Visitation will be Saturday, February 6th, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in St. Pius X Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in the Church.
