Bertha Lucille (Rush) Jeffers

Lucille was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and canning. She loved collecting teapots and spoons. She also loved listening to and watching Elvis. She had a standing appointment every Friday at the Beauty shop where her daughter Joyce, did her hair and nails. More recently, she enjoyed playing Bingo on Friday nights. She loved spending time with her family.

She was married to Roy “Cotton” Blythe and Samuel "Buster" Henson and they had 10 children resulting from these marriages. They both preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; husband Oliver “Sandy” Jeffers; grandson William Neel, Son in Law Eddie Neel; brothers Cyril, Lyril, Charlie,Reed, and Roger Rush; and sisters Ethel and Edith.

Lucille is survived by her daughters Royce Neel, Joyce Valentine (Richard Sanders), Linda (Steve) Bunner, Sherrill (Ken) Flowers, Terri Holt (Robert Cullen), and Mary Vega (John Silvey); sons Roger Blythe (Patty Morales), Thomas Henson (Dawn Fenley), James (Toni) Henson and Michael Henson; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren (and one on the way); and 10 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday Aug. 28th from 3:00-8:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46237. Funeral Services will be held on Monday Aug. 29th at 1:00PM in the funeral home with visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
