Betty attended Arsenal Technical High School and was employed at Schwitzer Cummins, Jenn-Air Corporation and retired from SCS Transportation in 2020.
Betty knew of God’s words and teaching, she gave her life to Christ and was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.
Betty loved and enjoyed several hobbies, specifically cooking and making people happy and feel welcomed in her home. She loved all her children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Betty loved and adored her family dearly; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, William Brown, Allene R. Pepper and Herman A. Brown and son Anquinten Brown.
Betty leaves behind with profound sadness her children, Sherri Hinkle, Terri M. Brown and Darrell D. Brown, sisters, Marion F. Brown, Patricia A. (Charles) Johnson, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on November 16, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home, located at 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place at the same location, starting at 12:00 pm.
