Beverly was raised in Indianapolis, IN with her siblings, relatives, and church family of Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ. A precocious and strong-willed child with eyes as golden as autumn leaves and a smile that shined like the sun, Beverly left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She was a hardworking woman long before coming of age during which her passion of caring for others was ignited. Beverly attended Northwest High School and graduated with the class of 1983. She married as a young adult in 1984 and welcomed her first child Brittney Turner, born in Indianapolis, IN during the autumn of 1985. Beverly and her young family relocated in 1986 where she welcomed a second child, Jazzmin Turner (Kennedy) born in Atlanta, Georgia during the spring of 1987. She was inherently devoted to showering both children with love, support, and all of the childhood joys that she longed for growing up.
Beverly returned to Indianapolis, IN in 1988 with determination and a newfound purpose. Beverly remained steadfast in her principles of motherhood. While working as an Executive Assistant for a prominent law firm, she still managed to serve as Troop Leader for Brittney and Jazzmin’s individual Girl Scout programs. As a single mother she worked tirelessly to provide not only the necessities of life but also to cater to the whims and fancies of her two girls. Her ambition eventually led her to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1992 through which she served as a hospice and home healthcare nurse for more than a decade before accepting her final professional chapter serving the Sherman Family since 2005.
Unrivaled in beauty and spirit, she imprinted upon everyone that she met, leaving countless friends, colleagues, and family to cherish her memory.
Beverly was called home to God’s arms on Sunday January 4, 2026, to join her mother Deloris Ghant, and her loving Aunt Magelene Archie, of whom she was preceded in death. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength within her children, Brittney Nicole Turner and Jazzmin Denay Kennedy (James Michael Kennedy, III). Her beloved grandchildren, whom she leaves to cherish her memory: Brooke Williams, Bryson Jones, and Jordyn Kennedy. She also leaves a plethora of treasured moments with the Sherman Family: Gary and Kristen Sherman, their four children, Anna, Cross, Sam, and Cooper, along with many more.
