74, Indianapolis, passed away August 20, 2012. Bishop Simmons was the founding Pastor of the Freedom Full Gospel Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruby Simmons; and siblings, Jimmie Simmons, Willie Frank Simmons, Freddie Lee Simmons, and Glenda Nesbitt.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, First Lady Velma Simmons; his children, Joseph Simmons, Albert C. Simmons, Jr. (Dee), Sharon Gray (Brian), Valencia Branch (Michael), Victoria Simmons, Victor Simmons, Delores Simmons, Lovlie Frasier (Nathan); step-children, Diane Armstrong, Wanda Ford, Jacqueline Ford, Norman Pernell (Joyce), Andrew Pernell; siblings, Rose Simmons, Mary Elizabeth Brown, Cathy Bealer, Ernest Simmons, Derell Simmons, David Simmons; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other extended family members, including the Freedom Full Gospel Community Church family.
