

Breyana Ruby Crockett, who was called to her heavenly home on January 6, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on December 17, 1982, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jeffrey and Bernie, Breyana was a light that brightened the lives of those who knew her.
Breyana educational journey began at Zion Hope Christian School and continued through to graduation from Lawrence North High School. She was an award-winning artist in the NBD Bank 500 Festival of Art, with her work being displayed at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
While in high school, she was commended for her high standards of excellence, community leadership, and positive performance in the 1997-1998 edition of Who's Who Among American High School Students. Breyana was also part of the student-to-student ambassador program and traveled to Italy, Spain, and France.
After graduating from high school, she attended IUPUI to study education and pursue her dream of being a teacher. Breyana later attended Ivy Tech Community College and Empire Beauty School, attesting to her interests in business and cosmetology. Her work spanned various roles, including a supportive warehouse associate, a nurturing childcare provider, a welcoming hostess, and a talented braider.
Breyana professed her faith early in life and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Indianapolis at the age of 13. Her faith found expression in the joyful energy of her dance as part of the Generations of Grace Praise Dancers at Zion Hope Church, and she remained committed to her faith throughout her life.
Breyana was preceded in death by her father Jeffrey Lee Crockett Sr.
Breyana is survived by her mother Bernie Maria Howard, her siblings; Jeffrey Jr., Jourdan, and Janelle, and her children, Jamaal, Jemel, and Heaven-Leigh, as well as a host of loving cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and relatives.
As we bid farewell to Breyana, we take solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace in the eternal embrace of our Lord. Her life was a testament to the beauty of a soul, and her memory will forever be a blessing to us all.
Rest in peace, dear Breyana, your light will never fade.
A visitation will be held at Zion Hope Church, located at 5950 E 46th St, Indianapolis, IN, 46226, on January 16, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the same location, starting at 12:00 pm.
