Carolyn Ann Lakin

Carolyn Ann (Pedlow) Lakin 79, born December 13, 1936. Went home to the Lord on February 9, 2016. Carolyn lived a long and fruitful life. She was the oldest daughter of Harry Joseph Pedlow and Edna (Scherer) Pedlow. Carolyn graduated from St. Philip Catholic School in 1950 and St. John Academy in 1954. She also attended Marion College. While in school she worked for Richmond Brothers and later she was a keypunch operator for the state of Indiana until her marriage in 1958. She later worked as a cook for Laughner’s Cafeteria, retiring in 1998. She was greeted into heaven by her husband Elmer Lakin and her parents who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Johanna Lakin-Thomas, Joseph R. Lakin, James R. Lakin, Mary Elizabeth Lakin, sister Barbara Jo Pedlow Dale and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, February 15 from 4 – 8 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary with a rosary service at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday February 16, 2016 at 10 am at St Mary Catholic Church with visitation an hour before service. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
