Kate was born on May 14th, 1927 to Guy and Ethel Trimble in Windfall, Indiana. After graduating from Tipton High School, she was a homemaker beautician, a member of Phi Delta Pi Sorority, and later worked in the insurance field, as an insurance agent for Gregory & Appel in Indianapolis. Upon retiring, she volunteered at her church, Northminster Presbyterian, and at the Indianapolis Art Museum/Newfields, and was a member of the Eastern Star. Kate loved to travel, especially to Europe. She was a kind lady who loved her family and friends.
Kate is survived by her daughters; Kay (Bill) Micheli and Cynthia "Cindy" (Jeff) Smith, grandchildren; Jessica (Dean) Knipp, Hannah (Will) Marmorine, and Nick (Kayla) Smith, great grandchild; Michael Knipp, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Carolee "Patty" Courtney Johnson and J. Allan Trimble; her former husband and father of her daughters; John Brown.
The family would like to thank the kind staff of Wellbrooke of Westfield for their excellent care of Kate.
A visitation for Kate will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E 71st St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Face masks are required per family's request.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
