Catherine Mary (Heitmann) Mears, age 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Catherine was born in New York, NY, on September 24, 1943 to the late Robert and Marion (Calkins) Heitmann.
Catherine was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and she worked in the catering industry before retiring.
Surviving are her children Veronica (Danny) Broughton, Gerald ( Maria) Mears and Pamela (John) Lay.
Grandchildren Lillian and Carly Broughton, Abby Goodin, Jessica, Elizabeth and William Lay.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband of 50 years John Lee (Jack) Mears. Sisters Roberta Heitmann and Margaret (Peggy) Litzelman-Cook.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 4-7pm at Feeney & Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. 1307 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219. With a Mass of Christian Burial at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E 13th St. Indianapolis, IN 46201 at 10 am on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
