

Charlene accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a very young age. She was a member of Caring Place and Jones Tabernacle AME Zion Church. She came from a God fearing family and she made sure that everyone knew so. She was also part of Young Life Youth Outreach when her daughter Mercedes Morris attended Arsenal Technical High School.
Charlene attended Arlington High School where she graduated a year early, class of 1978. She also attended Ivy Tech and earned an Associates Degree in Human Resources Management.
In 1980 at the age of 20 years old, Charlene met the love of her life, Cedric Morris. The two joined in holy matrimony on June 17, 1989.
Charlene was a social butterfly and had no issues making friends anywhere she went including her workplaces where she was loved by many. Charlene was no stranger to hard work. Throughout her life she was employed by; The Hoosier Lottery, Indiana State Police, L.S. Ayres (Macy’s), IPS Schools, Marion County Health Department, Kroger, Master’s Touch Home Health Agency and Lowes Customer Care. She left the workforce a year ago to become a full-time caregiver for her mother and her twin grandchildren. Taking care of others was a special ty of hers and something she believed she was put on this earth for. Charlene was also a caregiver for her father Charles Alfred Glover and her brother Charles Scott Glover who preceded her in death.
Charlene was all about her family no matter the circum-stances. Even if someone wasn’t family, Charlene made sure before they left her presence that they had become family. Charlene was an amazing cook and was well known for her dirty rice that she cooked on multiple occasions. Charlene’s smile would light up a room and she always came with a story to tell that was assured to have you laughing by the end. The door to her home was always open and she was always there to greet you with open arms. She became a mom and auntie to many and was well respected for the love she gave out.
Charlene transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday January 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Alfred Glover Sr and her brother Charles Alfred Glover Jr.
Charlene leaves to cherish her memory husband, Cedric Morris, mother, Elizabeth Glover, 2 sons; Robert Petti-grew II, Cedric Morris II; 4 daughters; Mercedes Morris, Tamara Morris-Sanders (Walter), Tanesha Morris, Shadawn Mcgowan (Dale); two brothers; Timothy Glover (Carla), Lamont Glover Sr.,15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
