Charlene K Smith

Charlene Kay Smith, 56, of Indianapolis died September 12, 2020 in Indianapolis, IN. Charlene was born to the late William and Eleanor Wolfe (Cote) on August 3, 1964 in Perry, Iowa. In 1983, newlyweds Randy and Charlene moved to the Philippines while he served in the U.S. Navy. They had their first two children before moving back to the States where they had their third child. They moved several times before landing in Indianapolis. She loved spending time with her family and had a passion for animals, playing bingo and trying to win the lottery. While living in Indianapolis she enjoyed working at Print Communications for 10 years, EPI for 8 years, and Emerson Climate Technologies for 3 years. Charlene is survived by her husband of 37 years Randy Smith; daughter Shannon Smith; sons Shane (Heather) and Shawn (Sara) Smith; grandchildren Nevaeh, Zaedan, Everly, Xander and Wade. Charlene is preceded in death by step-father Ed Cote and sister Barbara Weiss. The Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 2:00PM- 4:00PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, with the service to begin at 4:00PM.Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Indianapolis Humane Society.
