Charles Stephen Bowman

Charles Stephen Bowman, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 9, 2022. Steve was born to Bert and Helen Bowman on May 3,1946. Steve was a long-standing parishioner of Saint Pius X Catholic Church, where he also attended grade school. He was a loving father and grandfather, caring brother, good friend, and an avid golfer.

Steve was a proud Cathedral High School graduate of the class of 1964, and he served on the Alumni Board of Directors and was a supporter of the Shamrock Scholars program. Steve cherished the many lifelong friends he made during his Cathedral years. After graduating from Cathedral High School, Steve attended Indiana University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business. Steve worked in sales and finance, and he was trusted by his many loyal and longtime clients, most notably at Quality Leasing Co., Inc. for 24 years.

Steve loved playing golf, cheering for his grandkids at their sporting events, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Helen Bowman. He will be missed by his loving family, including his son, Bradford Bowman; his daughter, Elizabeth (Steve) Johnson; his sister, Diane Kiemeyer; grandchildren, Kameron, Elliott, Aiden and Quinn Johnson; great-granddaughter Gracie Johnson; niece Colleen (Ryan) Cannon, nephew, Grant (Sapna) Gondell; and great-nieces Chloe and Paige Cannon and Layla and Keira Gondell.

Services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive Indianapolis, Indiana 46250, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. The visitation will be from 11am-1pm, and the funeral Mass will follow the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s name to the Cathedral Fund.
