Charles Thomas Drake Jr.

Born on August 1, 1977, in Indianapolis to his devoted parents, Charles Sr. and Rosetta Drake, Charles brought joy and light into the lives of all who knew him. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1996 and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University in 2001. During his time at Purdue, he formed lifelong bonds and became a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.

Charles dedicated his career to leading and inspiring others, using his natural gift for encouragement and guidance. He spent over nine years as a material area supervisor with FCA Fiat-Chrysler/Stellantis, where he was respected for both his professionalism and his kindness.

A man of faith, Charles accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Richmond, IN, and later became a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Charles will be remembered for his big heart, his warm smile, and his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. Whether it was family, a friend, or someone in need, Charles showed up with love, generosity, and compassion.

He is preceded in death by his beloved twin sister, Clarissa Drake, and his father, Charles Thomas Drake Sr. Charles’s legacy of love lives on through his mother, Rosetta Drake; his sisters, Delilah Brooks and Denise Drake; his brother, Troy Drake; and his godson, Jairus Tucker. He also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
