
Charles Allen Stone, 76 of Kokomo IN passed away yesterday, Feb 22 at Fairmont Rehabilitation Center. Born July 23, 1934 in Richmond KY, he was the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Hill) Stone. He received his education in Richmond KY graduating from Richmond High School. He was married to the former Margaret B. Mundy. He served in the United States Airforce during the Korean War as Careeman and retired after 20 years plus service as a Tech Sargent. He was a member of UAW local #292, Disabled Veterans and an Adjutant for American Legion Post #177. After working for 25 years he retired from General Motors in 1999. He was a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church where he participated in the Men's Ministries, Adult Sunday School and Drama Club. He also was an avid golfer and loved fishing and reading. He is survived by his wife Margaret, two daughters: Donna Elaine Miller and Tracy Elaine (Danta) Rogers, two sons: Arnold Allen (Tina) Stone and Robert Earl Stone, four brothers: John (Mattie) Stone, Frank (Nancy) Stone, James (Corey) Clark and Gerald Clark, two sisters: Elnoria (Frederick III) Fisher, Elizabeth (Darrell) Wims, eight grandchildren: Antoine Miller, Crystal Miller, Myqueal "Shawn" Rogers, Tristan Lee Rogers, Amber Williams, Bryce Allen Stone, Arnold Allen Stone Jr and Marcus Allen Stone, six great-grandchildren: Shamari Miller, Saniya Johnson, Asiah Rogers, Phoenix Rogers, Angelis Rogers and Raya Miller. Two special nieces Monica Davis and Ashley Fisher and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceeded in death by his parents and two brothers: Daniel Miller and Elzie Clark. Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 11:00 a.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church with calling from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Dr. Robert A. Lee will be the officiant and eulogist. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery. Family is asking contributions to be made to Kokomo Rescue Mission and H.E.S.P. the Haitian Environmental Support Program.
