Cheryl Denise Harney-Bibbs

Mrs. Cheryl Denise Harney-Bibbs was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 28, 1957 to Lois and J.C. Harney. She was the fourth of five children. She was the only girl with four brothers that affectimatly called her “Neicy”.

“Neicy” graduated from John Marshall High School in 1975. She continued her education at Indiana Vocational Technical College receiving a Certificate in Secretarial Science Technology in 1978. In 2003 she received an Associate of Science Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2004.

“Neicy” worked for Marion County Health Department for 32 years. She was a member of Promise Land Christian Community Church.

She loved singing songs of praises to the Lord. With her beautiful soprano voice, she sang with various choral groups over the years.

Mrs. Cheryl Denise Harney-Bibbs departed this life on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the age of 55 years.

Harney; mother in law, Lavern Bibbs; brothers, James (Jacqueline); Dexter (Greta); Michael and Bryant (Karen); sister in laws, Tammy and LaVrell; nephews, James, III; Antuan, Kendall(Rebecca); Michael, Jr.; Damon (La Kysha); Latharn; Cameron; Michael(Jona); Manual, Brandon (Tameka); Devin; Tajuan; K Ron; Bryant, Jr.; Justin; Keith and the late Courtney Spencer; nieces, Crystal; Brianna and Kia; aunt and uncle, Mary and Frank Stapleton; God sister, Deborah L. Jones; best friends, Vicky Lee and Gloria Yates; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
