Clyde Edward Shovan Jr. was born in Indianapolis, IN to Clyde Edward Shovan Sr. and Dorothy King on August 22, 1960. Clyde graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School with a his High School Diploma, and went on to continue his education at Aenon Bible College with a BA Degree.

He married Robin Marie Shovan on April 20, 2002 in Indianapolis, IN. He worked at Residential Inc. Services, he was a Group Home Manager of two houses Mentor, Counselor. Clyde was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve and was awarded his honorable discharge.

He was one of the community activist of the city of Indianapolis involved in domestic violence, and gang violence, and getting the homeless off the streets. He incorporated Eagle Swoop Indiana Regional Inc. just for this reason. Clyde was a Pastor of this outreach ministry, and he was a volunteer Chaplin for over 5 years at Wishard Memorial Hospital, now Eskenazi Hospital.

Clyde E. Shovan Jr. is preceded in death by his Father: Clyde E. Shovan Sr., Mother: Dorothy King, Sister: Bulane Davis, Daughter: LaToya E. Shovan.

Clyde E. Shovan Jr. is survived by his Wife: Robin M. Shovan, Sons: Keith Shovan, Donte McGee, Brandon S. Lane, Brothers: Louis Owsley, Royal Settles, David Settles, and Sister: Rose McGinty.
