Constance M. Wilson

Constance (Connie) Marie Wilson was born to Fannie Wilson and the late William Wilson Jr. on February 6, 1952 in Tuskegee, AL. Connie began her schooling within the Indianapolis Public School System where she attended elementary school #33, Jr. H.S. #101, and Arsenal Technical H.S.

Connie had a career in the dry cleaning industry until retirement in 2006.

In August 1972 Connie wed Robert L. Benford. To that union two sons were born. Connie was reunited with Christ on November 11, 2007 and was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. She loved taking photos, listening to music, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Connie was a loving mother to her children, caring sister to her three brothers and five sisters, and an adoring aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Constance Marie Wilson departed this life on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at the age of 62. She was preceded in death by her father William Henry Wilson, Jr.; grandparents William Henry Wilson Sr., and Farris Pauline Wilson. Connie leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Fannie Mae Wilson; two sons, R. DeJuan Benford and Tyron L. (Emily) Benford; three brothers, Victor (Diane) Wilson, Karlos (Mona) Wilson, and William H. (Diane) Wilson III; five sisters, Talonda Wilson, Linda Wilson, Wanda (Paul) Newbolt, Kathy Douglas, and Eugenia Wilson; grandson Kye Benford and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. She will be sourly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 9am to 11am, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 11am at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. The burial will immediately follow in New Crown Cemetery.
