

A graduate of Shortridge High School, he was a man of many talents and passions. He was especially known for his exceptional cooking skills, particularly his talent for frying fish. For years, he hosted an annual fish fry that brought together family and friends to share good food and cherished memories. His culinary expertise left a lasting impression on all who attended. Daniel truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, both in preparing and savoring great meals.
Daniel was also an accomplished bowler. His achievements were recognized with numerous 300 rings and watches, a testament to his dedication and skill in the sport. Beyond bowling, he had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, often finding peace and joy in these pursuits. Whether casting a line or tracking game, he embraced the natural world with enthusiasm.
He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Barlow and Debra Barlow; his devoted daughters, Nikki Barlow and Yvonne Barlow; his grandchildren, Brandon Barlow and Brooke Barlow; as well as his great-grandchildren, who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William (Ricky) Barlow and Ernest (Scotty) Barlow, and his parents, Dorothy Holder,(Edward Holder) and Daniel Barlow Sr.
Daniel’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and shared experiences. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best through stories shared over meals he inspired and moments spent enjoying the activities he loved most.

A funeral service will be held on March 30, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
