David Earl Bowles

David Bowles, Sr., age 70, passed away on April 8, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on April 22, 1954, in the same city he called home throughout his life, David was known for his generous spirit and unwavering willingness to help others. David had a remarkable gift for fixing things—whether it was a car that wouldn’t start or a house in need of repair. Friends and neighbors knew they could count on him at any hour; if something needed fixing, David would be there. Those who knew David remember him as someone who would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his pocket without hesitation. David’s happiness came from helping others, and his selflessness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

David is survived by his wife Leslie Myers Bowles, daughter Brandy Brydon, sons Andy Kaylor, David Bowles Jr., Mike Bowles and daughter Tonya Bowles along with 13 grandkids and 7 great grandkids. Also, four sisters and three brothers. He was predeceased by one sister, Julia and one son Jeffrey Bowles. David’s presence will be deeply missed by many whose lives were made better through his kindness and generosity.

A service to honor David’s life will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Family Funeral Care located at 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46224. A showing will take place from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a service beginning at 5:00 PM. May David’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of the power of compassion and generosity
