David Metzger

It is with great sadness that the family of David Lawrence Alexander Metzger announces his passing due to his addiction to alcohol on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the age of 30 years. David will be lovingly remembered by his father, Norman, his step-mother, Mary Brown, his siblings, Dino (Linda), Nathan (Jill), Jesse (Arika), Ariel, and Urana and his step-siblings Colleen Donahoe (Greg Monzel) and Christine Donahoe (Christian Caflsch). David was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Peachey

David graduated from the innovative Francis Scott Key School in 2006 where he thrived. He worked as a Customer Service Sales Associate at Fry's Electronics, a shift leader at Dairy Queen, was promoted from Delivery Driver to Warehouse Director at Crossroad Vintners and worked in the kitchen and pantry at Brugge Brasserie.

He loved going to Colts games, playing trivia at Sahm's on Tuesday nights, watching his beloved soccer teams, Real Madrid and Chelsea, at Union Jack and Chatham Tap on Massachusetts Avenue, and listening to Marc Maron's comedy podcast.

A Funeral Service in memory of David will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208. Interment in the family plot at Crown Hill Cemetery and a reception will follow. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of David to the Heroes Foundation, Attn: Catherine Peachey Fund, 5309 N. Delaware Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220.
