I love you Uncle Mike! I can see you now, showing the angels how to do your goofy dances lol

Uncle Mike was a really fun loving and caring man. He would always tell me that I looked just like my mom. We had a lot of fun times just sitting around talking and joking about really nothing but Mike could make you laugh even if you was in a bad mood or up set. It's like he always knew what to say to cheer me up. I remember all the family gatherings we would have at Eagle Creek. He was like the life of the family..Always happy and joking around.I will miss uncle Mike but I do know where he is at, and that is with my mom (Penny). We will see each other again one day!! I love you always and forever Mike!!

I have so many memories with my dad that I feel like I could write a book! Mostly funny stuff tho! He was a big time jokester and you never knew when you were gonna be his next prank lol. Also learned some funny tricks and songs that I will never forget. Some I still use and sing today! Love you pops! Thank you for giving me your humor and the memories of me and you

While I never met David in person, I felt like I've known him for years with all the stories and laughs with Ada. Ada always mentioned how much my dad reminded her of her own father, David. Our dad's are tough and stubborn dudes. I just know he's so proud of his children, especially Ada. Ada, you've been so strong during this time. I know situations like this come with tremendous stress and grief. My prayers and hugs go out to all his family and friends. He is at peace and left us with the wonderful legacy of his children. Love you Ada

One of my aunts said recently that Dad was "truly a force to be reckoned with." There couldn't be a more accurate description of my dad. I hear stories of his charm, wit and courage from every person I meet that knew him.  

As his daughter I have many of those stories -- too many to share, but one comes to mind when I was very little (maybe 5-6) and learning to swim. He made me take off my floaties because I was depending on them. He said, "ok, are you ready?" I said, "ready for what?" And he said, "I think I saw a shark in the water!!" And he threw me in, panicked and screaming.  When I swam to the edge and got out, I was furious with him. He said, "well you got yourself out, didn't you? Now go on back in and do it again." I said, "There might still be a shark in there."  He said, "The best way to beat a shark is to punch it in the nose.  I'll come do it for you if you can't but first you have to try."

These were the types of lessons I had from my dad my whole life, and he's still teaching them to me.  Thanks, Dad, for all you've done for me.  You taught me how to not only save myself from drowning in troubled waters, but to be brave enough to punch a shark in the nose if it comes at me.

So sorry for you loss..May God give you all comfort and strength during this time.  I remember back when I was a young girl in school and how Mike was always joking and making me laugh...wish I could remember some of his jokes.  Our prayers with you always. Love Mike & Robin

When i was a little girl Mike went with us on several road trips. Once to Tennessee with my Brother to get married because his soon to be wife was to young to marry in Indy. Mike was always so entertaining and funny. Many years we lost contact until my girls Father became his neighbor on 10th street. During that time Mike was such a blessing to us all helping keep Bud from having to go to a hospice as he had wished. He will be greatly missed. <3

For my Paw, we did not always see eye to eye on everything. But the love never wondered. I miss you but have so many memories that will stay with me forever.  R.I.P. Dad ❤
