Nécrologie de David Marlen Schwachenwald
David Schwachenwald, 70, returned to his heavenly home on August 10, 2018 after a long battle with a spinal cord tumor. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Preceding him in death are his parents, Marlen and Margaret (Voit) Schwachenwald, and sister Marcia (Schwachenwald) Yohn. David was born June 29, 1948 in Toledo, OH to Marlen and Margaret (Voit) Schwachenwald. After a brief stay in Pottstown, PA, their family moved to Marion, IN, where David graduated from Marion High School in 1966. David attended Capital University, where he attained a Bachelors degree in English and Speech in 1970. He later received a Masters of Education from Ball State University. David began his career as a teacher at Fairmount High School. He would also later teach at Elwood High School and Noblesville High School. It was when Smuckers came calling in 1978 that David discovered his talents in sales. He spent most of his career in print sales with Moore Business Forms and Birch Business Systems before starting his own company, Integrity Document Solutions, with his wife Carol (Conrad). David might be the biggest Cincinnati Reds fan to have ever lived. He was a founding member of the Central Indiana Chapter of the Reds Hall of Fame. He was also a passionate musician and 2nd generation percussionist. David will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, Opa and friend who shared his faith in Jesus Christ with anyone who would listen. David is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Conrad); Daughter Heidi (Schwachenwald) Kelly (husband Dan); Son Chris Schwachenwald (wife Julie); and grandchildren Samuel Kelly, Margaret Kelly and Sophie Schwachenwald. Services will be held on Thursday, August 16 3:30pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, Noblesville, IN 46062. A visitation will precede service from 1:30pm until 3:30pm also at Bethel Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, please sent charitable donations to The Spinal Cord Tumor Association. PO Box 461, Jay FL 32565. www.spinalcordtumor.org. Services entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Your remembrances and thoughts are welcome at www.feeneyhornakshadeland.com
