

David George Thibodeau born August 19, 1946, to William Henry and Mary Grace (D’amante) Thibodeau passed away the morning of February 17th with his twin brother, Bill, and his significant other, Lori Brown, by his side. David was born in Claremont NH and grew up in Cornish NH.
Brought up on the family homestead in Cornish, David worked at local farms and a talc mill before entering the Navy in ?. He served from November 1964 to July 1967. After his military service he worked for various companies as a welder. Eventually his skills brought him to Indiana where he has resided since 1972.
David loved his family and his country. He loved to laugh and enjoyed a good time. He also enjoyed a hearty meal, a whole chocolate cake and a cold beer.
David is survived by his long time loving companion Lori Brown of Indianapolis; his sons Dean (Mary) of Templeton, MA; Patrick of Reelsville, IN; Kevin (Barbara) of Cocoa, FL; brothers James (Lynn) of Peterborough, NH; Jeffrey of Newport, NH; William (his twin) of Claremore, OK; sisters Elaine and Eileen (also twins) of Danville, VA; Brenda of Lebanon, NH; and Laura (Alfred) of Sullivan, NH. Survivors also include grandchildren, many nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and a multitude of friends.
David is predeceased by his parents, William and Mary, a brother John Paul (May 2024); his daughter Michelle Thibodeau Schwarz (January 2019) and his daughter-in-law, Kim (August 2021).
Burial will be in Crown Hill National VA Cemetery at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2025 with military honors conducted by the US Navy and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor Guard. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW on Friday, following the burial. All are welcome. Anyone wishing to may make a contribution in David’s memory to a charity of their choice.
