Celebrating The Life of Dedric Varian Johnson Dedric Varian Johnson was born on August 11, 1969 in Chicago, IL to the union of James Contrell Bailey and Adrian Denise Johnson. Dedric was the eldest of four born to his mother and father. Dedric attended Paul Robeson High School in Chicago, IL. In 1998, Dedric migrated to Indianapolis, IN with his companion and their children. Dedric dedicated his life to Christ and joined New Direction Church in 2017. Dedric enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and cooking. He also loved spending time with his loved ones and telling jokes. Dedric was a loving brother, father, companion, nephew, cousin, grandfather/paw-paw and friend. On July 29th, 2020 Dedric transitioned from life to eternity. He was preceded in death by his mother Adrian Denise Johnson; Father James Contrell Bailey; Sister Meeka Mimonique Johnson; Grandmother Mary Juanita Johnson; Son Bobby Deshon Berry. Dedric leaves cherished memories to his companion of 30 years who he called his wife, Stefanie Robinson. Thirteen Children: Vashawn, Robyn, Stefon, Porcha, Shardae, Shanta, Dedric Jr., Contrell, Tre, Dedrica, Detron, and Devondric; Two Brothers: Clifton Gardley and Kantad Gardley; Two Uncles: Carl Anderson and John Tate; Four Aunties: Rebecca Anderson, Whyshaeena Flowers, Stephanie Johnson, and Tammy Tate Robinson; Sister/cousin: Terry Meyers Despenza; Nephew/son: Montanique Jackson. Twenty-three Grandchildren and a host of other special relatives and friends, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and In-laws.   Service for Dedric will be held, 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm, all taken place at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home.
