Donald G Ash

Donald G. Ash, 82 of Indianapolis died on July 24th, 2018. He was an auditor with the state of Indiana, retiring in 2000. He was also associated with several organizations and was former president of the Indianapolis Commercial. He was a 1953 graduate of Indianapolis Cathedral High School and Marian College in 1961, where he met his wife Janice (Dormeier) of 57 years who survives. Mr. Ash was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a Eucharistic minister, active in pro-life activities, rosary prayer group and a volunteer coach. He served in the US Army Reserves for 6 years. He volunteered at Community North Hospital and the St. Vincent DePaul food pantry. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1989. Other survivors are sons Kevin M. Ash, Michael K. (Jennifer) Ash, daughter Karen M. Ash and grandchildren Eric, Lauren and Lindsey Ash. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Pius X, 7200 Sarto Dr. on August 10th, 2018 at 12:00 PM, visitation between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM that day, with a private inurnment service to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe made in Donald's name to the St. Vincent DePaul food pantry, 3001 E. 30th St, Indianapolis.
