84, of Indianapolis passed away on December 13, 2011. Donald was born on February 9, 1927 in New York, New York to Milford and Edna (Fajella) Sweeney. He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for Indiana Bell Telephone Company as an engineer, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the VFW Post 2999 and Moose Lodge #17. Donald is survived by his children Stephanie (Bob) Bell, Pat (John) Foth, Dan Sweeney, Tom Sweeney, 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime companion Bonnie Nugent, sister Bette Lallas, brother Richard Sweeney. He is preceded in death by his sons Donald and Michael Sweeney. Funeral Graveside services will be Friday December 16 at 10 am at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday December 15 from 6 – 8 pm. at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Burial will be at Marion National Cemetery.
