Dorothy Louise Stubbs

Dorothy Louise Stubbs, 89 passed away on August 25, 2019 peacefully in her sleep. She was born to the late Edward and Clora Bailey, on June 13 1930, in Indianapolis, IN. Dorothy Graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1949 and became a Certified Nursing Assistant at Methodist Hospital in the 1960’s, she also volunteered at Wishard Hospital during her down time. Dorothy enjoyed singing, drawing, and listening to classical music. Her lifelong dream was to become an Opera Singer, but she decided to pursue motherhood instead.

After bearing four sons in her previous relationships, she married the love of her life Jonathan Stubbs in 1956, they settled down in Indianapolis, IN and had one daughter and three sons. Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory 6 Children: Jona Stubbs, Christopher Stubbs, Eron Stubbs, Eric Stubbs, Steven Rouse, and Gregory West. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, 1 Sister Debra Ann Bailey and 1 Brother Edward Bailey. Dorothy was preceded in death by two sons Tony Beard, Darryl Marshall, husband Jonathan Stubbs and two brothers Carl and William Bailey. Dorothy also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, daughter in-laws, family and friends.
