Dr. Rosa Lee Brown, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on the night of October 25, 2017. Dr. Brown was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church and had been a member of the NAACP, League of Women Voters, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and the National Council of Negro Women. She had also been a community organizer and activist at the Indianapolis Urban League.She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas L. & Rosa Nicholson, loving husband, Rev. Dr. Andrew J. Brown and daughter, Miss Adrienne Lee Brown. Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are children: Rev. Dr. Thomas L. Brown, Sr. (Beverly) and Dr. Monica Lett-Fields; siblings: Edmon C. Carmichael (Gwen) of Detroit, MI and Lillie Mae Charley of Brighton, AL; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Friends may call on Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 10am - 12pm with the Homegoing Celebration commencing promptly at 12pm at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1651, Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, Indianapolis.
