

She received her primary and secondary education at Broadway High School in Madison, Indiana. Edna married Robert F. Braden on September 28, 1954. She and her husband resided in Madison, Indiana and eventually moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.
Edna was known as a fashionable dresser and an immaculate housekeeper. She loved home decorating, which was reflected in her home. She grew huge Geranium flowers which she took great pride in. Edna was sure to leave an impression on anyone she met. There are so many who will miss her smile and her presence.
Edna Jane Braden departed this life on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 30 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, two sisters, Minnie Whittaker and Margaret Johnson and her brother, Harrison C. Jordan.
She leaves to mourn her passing to nieces, Tunisia Bradley and Claricia Cannon; great-nieces, Casandra Taylor and Leisha Cannon; great-nephews, Anthony Bradley, James Bradley, William Bradley Jr., Jerod Cannon Jr., Johanneson Cannon and Patrick Cannon; and a host of great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Her visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, 9am - 11am, with the funeral service at 11am at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. The burial will immediately follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens
