Edward H O'Riley, Jr.

Edward Harold O'Riley, Jr., 88, passed on Saturday, October 12, 2019. He was born to the late Edward H. and Hilda J. O'Riley He is preceded in death by his sisters Katherine Schlake and Grace Thomas.

Edward is survived by his wife Dolores, children, Michael (Carmen) O'Riley, Cheryl (John) Taylor, Cherie (Eric) Doolin, Robin (Laurie) O'Riley, Steven O'Riley, Edward III (Rita) O'Riley, Timothy (Sue) O'Riley and Matthew (Christy) O'Riley; 28 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and one brother Walter (Mary) O'Riley.

Ed was very active in his church at Saint Gabriel's . He wa a past Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Holy Family Counsel 3682. Ed and Dolores are also founding members of Saint Monica Church. He was a participant of the Eternal Rosary prayed at St. Monicas.

He was an active volunteer for the Lord's food pantry for many years. He enjoyed working in the community. He enjoyed fishing and coaching little league football with his sons .

Ed was a master mechanic with General Motors , Allison Plant in Speedway for more than 40 years

Visitation will be Thursday, October 17 from 5-9 at Crown Hill Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Friday, October 18 at Crown Hill Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel. Mr. O'Riley will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
