Edward Ramsey Sr.

in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert “Pink” Ramsey

and Julia Ramsey in the living room of the family home on

Magazine Street.

Edward graduated from Central High School, he attended

IUPUI and was drafted into the United States Marine

Corps, where he served from February 21, 1950, until

February 20, 1954. Edward moved from Kentucky to

Indianapolis, IN where he became the founder of Montfort

Point Marine Association Indianapolis, Chapter 21.

Edward worked for Ford Motor Company where he retired

after 30 years of dedication and hard work. Edward was a

part of the Indianapolis Big Brother program where he met

Little Buddy and family.

Edward is proceeded in death by, his wife Mary Frances Ramsey,

his father Robert “Pink”

Ramsey, his mother Julia Ramsey, brother Roderick

Ramsey, brother Carroll Ramsey (casualty of war), brother

Kenneth Ramsey, sister Juliamae Ramsey, one living sister

Anna Jean Ramsey.

Edward leaves behind his children, Gwendolyn Mae Smith,

Dr. Edward Earl Ramsey Jr, Mary Elaine Ramsey-Jones,

spouse Jerome, William Ryan Ramsey Sr, Lisa McCrary Ramsey,

Hazel Tyler Ramsey, Vonda Ramsey and a host of

grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces,

cousins, coworkers, family and friends.
