

96, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 12, 2017. She was called the “miracle lady” by her favorite doctor, Dr. John Komari, after a youth of much illness and heart issues in later life. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Royston and Marietta Wilson. After moving to Indianapolis she attended Sacred Heart Grade and High Schools cherishing her 31 classmates from those school years. Eleanora married the love of her life, Woody Smith, and the best years of her life were spent with him until his death. Eleanora was always an avid card and bingo player and enjoyed trips to the casino. Earlier she went LasVegas and in her later years she enjoyed the casinos nearer her home. She had a very close and loving relationship with her sister, Milly, who preceded her in death. Her honest and thankful heart and cheerful disposition will be missed by many including her nieces Janet and Carol Taylor, Doris Seller, Joyce Godwin and their families along with nephew Don Stevens, step daughters, Dorothy Ferguson and Barbara Spoonamore and families. Her family would like to thank the staff of Crestwood South and Freedom Services and Hospice Care, especially Samantha, Amy, Jamie and Olivia for their compassionate care for Eleanor.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday January 17th at 1:00 PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home 4901 E Stop 11 Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46237. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
