Elizabeth Taylor-Briscoe was born on August 9, 1925, to the union of Mr. George and Mrs. Magnolia Jordan, in Sidon, MS. “Queen” Elizabeth Taylor-Briscoe departed this life on September 29, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Her parents, husband, and son, James L. Taylor (JT) preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children: Ernestine Payton, Billie J. Taylor, Sr., Pinkie Moffatt, Leonard Taylor, Curtis L. Taylor, Charles Mack Taylor, Darlene Taylor, Elizabeth Anne Taylor-Carter; and a host of family members and friends.
Services were held on Saturday, October 14, 2023; at Greater Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 1825 East 25th Street Indianapolis, IN 46218. The family received friends beginning at 10:00AM, followed by her Celebration of Life at 12:00 Noon and the interment immediately followed in Floral Park Cemetery.
