Ellen Therese Brown

Ellen Therese Brown, age 80, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023. Ellen was born in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late James and Gertrude Hayes. She retired from the Marion County Sheriff's Department where she worked tirelessly as a Victims Assistant Advocate/Liaison. She had an impact on many lives over the years with her wit, sense of humor and wisdom. Above all else she loved her family with all of her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mike, MaryAnn, Tim, Martin (Moose), and John.

Ellen is survived by her children, Ruth Moore and her husband Troy, Margie Anderson and Michael Brown; 6 grandchildren, Michael Moore, Paul Moore, Chanda Rautenkranz, Brent Anderson, Derek Brown and David Brown; and 14 great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Baby Moore who is due next month, Sky, Annabelle, Caden, Marina, Braxton, Trevon, Madelynn, Delilah, Zayden, Weston, Dominic and David.

Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, 2446 S. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 with reception to follow.
