Ernestine Elder

Ernestine Elder, age 72, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. Ernestine was born March 16, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Samuel and Ruth (Phams) Spells. Ernestine married Randy Elder on June 30th, 1981. She worked at St. Vincent Hospital as a dietitian for many years. Ernestine was a member of Castleton Church of the Nazarene. She loved to crochet, read devotions, watch her stories on TV and do word searches. Ernestine will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Ernestine is survived by her husband, Randy Elder; daughter, Andra Elder; grandchildren, Lanisha Spells, Aiden Nelson, Henry Elder and Hendrix Wilcox; great grandchildren, London White and Brandon White; and siblings, Pearl Davis, Vickie Bell, Willamae Gray and Tommy Spells. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruth Spells; sons, Randy Elder Jr. and Bryant Spells; and sister, Deborah Spells. A visitation for Ernestine will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46219. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM also at the mortuary. Ernestine will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
