

Mrs. Etolia Coleman-Cannon, the daughter of Maceola Bransford and William Coleman was born on October 13, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was four of six siblings. She attended school IPS School #4, #52, and graduated from Washington High School. At an early age she professed a hope in Christ joining First Freewill Baptist Church. She later joined First Baptist North Indianapolis by way of her Christian experience.
On October 27, 1980, Etolia gave birth to Natalya D. Murray. On July 17, 1993, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Nimroy Cannon for 26 years. Upon their marriage, she was blessed with another daughter, Angela R. Cannon.
Etolia started working at a very early age, her first job was working at the Dairy Queen on West Street & Indiana Avenue. She then worked at Riley Children's Hospital in Dietary for 11 years. She then went on to work at Methodist Hospital in the Amor unit as a transporter. From there, she moved to the Surgery Center in the Methodist building. After leaving the healthcare field, she started at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing, where she remained for 15 years until she became ill and could no longer work.
Etolia also known as "Toni" was named after her grandmother who preceded her in death, down to the nickname and the month of birth. Her grandmother was born October 15, 1913 and Etolia was born on October 13, 1961. Etolia loved family time, hosting parties, and dancing the night away with Nimroy.
Toni was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a Christian, a kind friend who loved everyone.
Mrs. Etolia Elnora Coleman Cannon departed this life on June 10, 2020 at the age of 58. She leaves to her memory: her husband, Nimroy Cannon; beloved daughters Natalya D. Murray and Angela R. Cannon; and three grandchildren Mychael, Noah, and Makenzy. Brothers: Gerald Sarver, Eugene Brame (Debbie), and Darrell Coleman (Stella). Sisters: Ernestine Morris (Leonard) and Rhonda Coleman. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and countless friends. Special friends: Yvette Hurt, Sheila Walker Adams, Victoria Lewis, Annetta Willis, LeAnn Hurd and Vernice Davis-Morris.
