Nécrologie de Fae V. Jessee
Our family matriarch, Fae Jessee, wife, mother and dearly loved friend passed 10/27/2021 to eternal peace surrounded by the love of her entire family and God's endless love. Her passing leaves us all with an enormous hole in our hearts. She will be deeply missed every day. Fae accomplished so much in her life with grace, integrity, humility, strength and independence. She was not shy to share her opinion and generally she was right! The center piece in her life was her husband, David L Jessee, whom she met while they both attended Broad ripple High School (1951,1952). Fae followed Dave to Michigan State as sweethearts and they were married in 1954. Dave was the love of Fae’s life. Most people who know them would say their deep loving relationship was second to none. Fae was incredibly intelligent, generous and she had a great sense of humor. Sadly, vascular dementia and strokes led to her passing. Fae was a very talented artist. Later in life, she returned to school to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Herron Art School. She then accepted a job Walker Engineering, a national engineering firm and was promoted to Office Manager for the Indianapolis office. Fae had a very strong business acumen and was an avid financial researcher. She was an excellent investor and thoroughly enjoyed the years she and Dave spent with The Stock Club. Fae and Dave shared a love of golf. They were members at Hillcrest Country Club for more than 50 years, enjoying so many great times with their very dear friends. Fae and Dave developed wonderful friends at Worthington Estate as they wintered in Bonita Beach, Florida. Fae had a hole in one on the 7th hole at Worthington CC.! Fae was an avid reader of all kinds of books. However, she started every morning with her cup of coffee and read the newspaper cover to cover. Fae was an excellent pianist and enjoyed music. Fae even tried to teach Dave to play the piano. This may be one of the very few times Fae wasn’t completely successful. Fae loved to travel with Dave and she loved history. Her trips with Dave to Greece and St. Petersburg, Russia were among of her most favorite. Some of her greatest days were spent with family especially during the holidays. We all remember, one year, when Aunt Mary and Fae took the Thanksgiving turkey out of the oven only to drop it and watch it slide across the floor! We all still laugh about that! Her most cherished accomplishments were raising her three children, David (Marsha), Steve and Lynne (Bill). All three children have blessed lives thanks to Fae’s deep love, devotion and guidance. She always honored each child’s own unique path. Fae provided her unwavering acceptance of who they are as individuals. She was their friend, mother and cheerleader. Her family legacy of love continues with four beautiful grandchildren Scott (Jen), Kristen (Nate), Christopher (Anna), Katie and two great grandchildren, Faye (named after Fae) Goldie, as well as soon to be great granddaughter, baby girl Jessee. Visitation will be 1-3pm Saturday 11/13/2021 at Feeney-Hornak Mortuary, 71st and Keystone. We all can just hear Fae say “Oh, please don't’ make a big deal out of this” however she is a really big deal to us. We will miss her so very much. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.feeneyhornakkeystone.com for the Jessee family.
