Florence H. Greene

Florence H. Greene, 80, passed away September 19, 2014. Florence was born on May 12, 1934 in Chicago to the late Emmett and Jewell (Campbell) Kyzer. After her parents passing, she was graciously raised by her aunt and uncle, Abigail and George Hobson.

Florence obtained her nursing degree while attending Dillard University in New Orleans. While at Dillard, she was a member of their professional dance team. After graduation, she moved to Indianapolis and joined the staff at General Hospital in the 1960s. Later, she transitioned to The Public Health Department and was employed there for 35+ years. Florence knew no stranger. She was often referred to as ‘Mom’ to many. She was a member of the 13 Hearts. She also enjoyed wine collecting, jewelry making, and Jazz music.

Florence is survived by her 2 loving children: Ronald Earl Greene and Jewell Abigail G. Fatnassi; and grandson Ronald Earl Greene, Jr.
