His father, Floyd Carter Sr, mother, Adele Austin Carter preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Damon Carter, Brandon Carter, Patrick Carter, brothers, Rev. Ken Day, Timothy R. Walker, Jerry Carter, 4 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
His visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, 10am- 12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church. His burial will take place in Washington Park North Cemetery.
