

Tony was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School where he played for the Historic State Basketball Championship Team (1959-1960) under Coach Bill Garrett. Tony, #45, was admired as an outstanding player.
He attended Purdue University. Tony was employed by Chrysler for 39 years.
Tony was president of the Fall Creek Basketball Officials Association. As an official he refereed basketball and football games throughout Indiana.
Tony never met a stranger. He would talk to anyone about any topic. He had a unique way of lifting one’s spirit. He was a witty, generous, and loyal friend.
Tony loved swimming. He was a very popular member of the Fox Lake Association. As a swimming instructor, he was well liked, respected, and taught many children to swim. “Mr. Tony” as the children called him, learned to swim at an early age. He passed his love of swimming on to his granddaughter, Annalise, who is a champion swimmer.
Tony, also, enjoyed making wake-up calls to family and friends. He loved to be the first to send you an emoji for the holidays at 2a.m.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents George T. & Hortense Dixon. He leaves to cherish his memory of more than fifty years, his wife Ivery Dixon, son George T. Dixon IV (Tina), granddaughter Annalise Dixon, two grandsons Coby and Devin, many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
