Gerald "Jerry" Cletus Dugan Jr.

Gerald "Jerry" Cletus Dugan Jr., 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. He was born on December 8, 1935 to Wilma (Bloom) and Gerald Cletus Dugan Sr. in Omaha, Nebraska. Jerry attended Creighton University, and graduated in 1957. Just two years before he served in the United States Army. He married Carol Gibbs and they had six children together during their 63 years of marriage. Jerry was a Golf Professional for most of his adult life. He switched to insurance in 1978, and worked for Mutual of Omaha. He was a devoted Catholic, and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Jerry is survived by his spouse; Carol Dugan, children; Kevin Dugan of Tennessee, Kelly Arvin (Doug) of Indiana, Gerald C. III Dugan (Carrie) of Ohio, Jeannie White (Rick) of Michigan, Daniel Dugan (Karen) of Arizona, and Christopher Dugan of Arizona, his siblings; Denny Dugan (Brenda) of Virginia, Colleen Kane of California, Mary Jo Fangman (Mike) of Nebraska, and Wilma Smith of Nebraska, grandchildren; Chelsea, Colin, and Daniel Dugan of Tennessee, Gerald IV and Matthew Dugan of Ohio, Jessica White and Amanda Barber of Indiana. Also surviving are five great grandchildren; Haley, Harper, Lucy, Addison and Emery of Indiana. Jerry was preceded in death by both of his parents, and two brothers Mike and Pat Dugan. A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:30 AM. A burial will occur at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Heritage Hospice and Grand Brook Memory Care of Fishers for their wonderful care of Jerry over the past 20 months.
