

Gerald was born on March 5, 1942 in Louisville KY to the late Earnest E Terhune and Dorothy E (Balke) Terhune. He moved to Indianapolis in 1968. He was a retired truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 135.
Gerald (Jerry to his friends) was known for his quiet, gentle strength, deep conviction to his beliefs and steadfast commitment to his family. His calming demeanor was a source of strength to family and friends alike. He was the person you could always count on, who was quick to find the silver lining.
He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and rebuilding wheel horse and tractor engines and being with his family.
Gerald is survived by his children, Paula (Don) Henry, Gerald (Laura) Terhune, Jr., Donna (James) Kerlin, Fred Terhune, Timothy (Patty) Terhune, Angela (James) Summitt, Brian (Nikki) Terhune and Jason Groce, along with 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by six brothers, Earnest E Terhune Jr., William Carl Terhune, Mark Terhune, Forrest Wayne Terhune, Michael Terhune and William Garrett Terhune and preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Elaine Terhune and one brother, Donald Edward Terhune.
It has been said, "No man dies until he is forgotten". You were well loved and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. You will live forever in our hearts and the greatness you left as your legacy will be our guiding light.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday August 26, 2016 from 11:00 AM-5:00PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home 4901 E Stop 11 Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46237, followed by a Memorial Service at 5:00PM in the funeral Home.
