Gregory received his primary education at James Whitcomb Riley School # 43, and his High school education at Broad Ripple High School. He then received a Bachelor of Science degree at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He was an honors graduate at Morehouse College. Several years later Gregory received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Michigan State in Lansing, Michigan.
Gregory professed his faith in Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was currently a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church.
Gregory was well-liked and respected by his peers. During his time at Morehouse College, He pledged Kappa Alpha Si. Gregory attended reunions held at Morehouse College. He loved sports and had season tickets to the Pacers and Colts games.
Gregory began his professional career at GTE in Indianapolis, which became Verizon. He received many promotions after being named the top salesman. Gregory later became Regional Director for Verizon for 2 years. He then received an offer to work for IBM for 2 years. He was then called to Detroit to promote the Cell Planes that were being introduced to the United States and being the top salesman for.
Gregory’s journey took him to a high position at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. He represented The Mayo Clinic in several states. Gregory retired from the Mayo Clinic after 3 years because of failing health.
Gregory was preceded in death by his parents: John White Sr., and Marilyn White, and his only brother John White Sr.
Gregory is survived by: his Uncle Deacon Carl Horton; niece: Ashley Randolph (John) and children Joshua and John Randolph, and a host of relatives and friends.
Gregory’s memories will live in the hearts of all who know and love him.
