

Harold Isaiah Martin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on December 18, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Jeannette and Isaiah Martin, who preceded him in death as well as 2 sisters Joyce Martin and Katherine Bates. From an early age, Harold gave his life to Christ.
Harold’s career included 20 years at Standards Grocery Store, followed by work as a window cleaner at AAA Windows and worked in construction, where he laid the groundwork for a life dedicated to hard work and service. Known for his bubbly personality and his infectious spirit, Harold brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. Harold had a rare ability to light up any room. He had a passion for cooking, singing, and dancing, and was particularly famous for his delicious sweet potato pies, which became a family favorite.
Harold shared a beautiful life with his loving wife, Gloria, whom he married on September 30, 1978. Together, they celebrated 47 years of marriage. Harold was a proud father to two daughters, Tamika Martin and LaTina Whitney, and a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren and a grandson-in-law. He also leaves behind two sisters Faye and Elaine Martin, alone with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember him fondly.
Harold’s warmth, love, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. As we celebrate his life, we remember the countless memories and the love he shared with his family and friends.

A visitation for Harold will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
