Harold Vincent Penfound

Harold was born in Detroit Michigan on December 21, 1934 to Harold Godding Penfound and Metzele E.(Boston) Penfound. He was married to Marjorie Ann Browe January 21, 1961 until her passing on January 19, 1993. While stationed at Fort Riley during the Korean conflict he earned a degree in Business from Kansas State University. While serving in the Army he rose to the rank of Sergeant in the Signal Core.

Harold worked nearly 70 years in the grocery business before retiring. His work history included Big Bear, Wrigleys, Great Scott's!, A & P, Lowells, Safeway, Food Carnival, Food Lion, and various brokerages. He did everything from Produce Manager to Vice President of Operations.

Harold is preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, and sister Patricia.

Harold is survived by his sister Grace Marie Bandarian, sons David Penfound /wife Jennifer, Dan Penfound /wife Angela, and John Penfound /wife Jill, daughter Kathe Jones /husband Brad, granddaughters Jenna Penfound, Amanda Elton /husband Tyler, Alyssa Penfound, grandsons Lake Jones /wife Nicole, Steven Penfound, and Carter Jones.

Harold's ashes will be buried at Crown Hill Cemetery for veterans in a private ceremony for family.
