Henry Michael George

Henry Michael George, affectionately called “Mike” was born in Indianapolis, IN to Henry and Lillie Mae George on September 27, 1956. He attended school 51 and Arsenal Tech. Mike worked as a truck driver for Indianapolis Fruit.

Mike enjoyed fishing, watching football, basketball, Nascar, tennis, and sci-fi. He liked hanging out with close family and friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother Lillie Mae George, father Henry Walter George, sisters: Barbara Ann Porter, Linda Jean Robinson, Nettie Doumbouya, Dorothy Allen, and Hannah Jean George.

Henry Michael George passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 67.

Mike is survived by his two sons Michael Ashone’ George and Damon Allyn (Lakitta) George, daughter Carmen Renee’ George, sisters; JoAnn Sykes, Shirley Turentine, Teresa (Henry) Williams, Destiny “Monique” George, brothers; Curtis Woodfork and Tyrone (Cindy) George. Grandchildren; Kali George, Mya George, Key’Shawn Toran, Keyon Toran, Damon George Jr, Deshaun George, Damyla George and other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Henry will be held Friday, August 9, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1301 N Goodlet Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46222, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
