James F Comer

James "Jim" Fredrick Comer, 78, Bargersville, Indiana passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Franciscan Hospital House. He was born June 20, 1947 in Sanger, California to Clarence and Helen (Henning) Comer.

After high school, Jim served his country proudly in the Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He worked for Packaging Corp. of America, Arlington, TX, eventually advancing to the Maintenance Dept. After 32 years of service, retiring in 2013.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Christina (Fischer), daughters, Heather Machen, Angela (Gary) LaFever, Susan (Jon) Sims and RaJeanna (Mark) Johnson; brother John (Sherry) Comer, sister Kristen (Wes) West; grandchildren, Hayden Machen, Aly Burke, Sophia Dahl, Cally Dahl, Jonah Dahl, and Brittany Johnson (Matt Madelkorn) and Tori (Derrick) Rybka; great-grandchildren, Violet Mandelkorn and Liam Rybka, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins he adored.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Helen and brother Jack Comer.

A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 3PM-6PM, with a service and shared memories starting at 5PM at Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E Stop 11 Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
