Davidson, James Edward, Indianapolis, 51, passed away, Friday, June 22, 2018 at his home. He was born May 24, 1967 in Vincennes, IN. He is preceded in death by his step father, Gordon Moerdyk; brother, Ralph Davidson, Jr.; and niece, Alicia Davidson.
For the past 16 years, Jim has been a special education teacher at Greenwood Middle School. He also served as varsity basketball coach and golf coach for a time. He was loved by his students and was always willing to go the last mile in service to them and advocating for them. He treated everyone with courtesy and respect. He was known by several nicknames including, Jimmy, Jim, and Jay. He loved working in his yard and playing the piano as well as playing golf and rooting for his favorite teams.
He is survived by his mother, Gail Moerdyk, Mt. Juliet, TN; father, Ralph Davidson, Sr., Brownsburg, IN; 101 years old grandmother (Mammaw) Bertha Sue Malone, Mt. Juliet, TN; sister, Peggy Redmond (Steve), Brownsburg, IN; brother, Donald Davidson, Nashville, TN; nieces and nephews, Mitchel Redmond, Holly Redmond, Amanda Davidson, and Michael Rogers; 3 aunts; and many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be 3pm – 7pm Thursday, June 28 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224. His Funeral Service will begin at 7 pm at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11am Friday, June 29 at Bicknell Cemetery in Bicknell, IN.
