James “Jim or Jimmy” Jansen passed away quietly on June 12th having just turned 69 years old days earlier. He is survived by his daughter, Alexandra, wife, Cheryl Amick, stepdaughter, Jessica Price, and his sisters, Mary Everitt (Steve) and Lynn Ryker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evagene (Jacobson-Jansen) Bradford and father, Fred Jansen and brother, Barry Jansen.
Jim spent his adolescence terrorizing the Devonshire and Brockton neighborhoods with his friends and their bicycles and go-karts — getting into the kind of trouble that made the greatest stories. He attended Broad Ripple High School
Jim was an avid golfer, proud tradesman and nature lover. Jim loved being outside on his deck while quietly watching the maneuvers of dragon flies, hummingbirds and butterflies with a cocktail
He is, and will be, profoundly missed
At Jim’s request, friends and family should remember him by playing some good music, while having a party and “getting on with life’.
Private services will be held by the family.
